Turkey will be among the high priority countries for promotion in INTERMAT 2015, the world’s third largest exhibition in construction sector. INTERMAT is a major door for construction and building machine companies to explore new markets and establish new partnerships. Turkish Machinery will provide support for Turkish companies with national participation of İstanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) in the exhibition, which is organized every third year. MTG jump started its activities in France at SIMA Agriculture Machinery Exhibition held in Paris from 22nd to 26th of February 2015. Such activities focusing on France, which was the 5th largest machine export market of Turkey in 2014, continues with INTERMAT. Turkey exported machinery amounting to US$ 572 million to France in 2013. This figure reached to US$ 604 million in 2014, marking a 6% increase.
In 2012, INTERMAT Exhibition was attended by nearly 1.400 companies and visited by over 200 thousand people. Turkish companies displayed their products and services on an over 2 thousand square meters exhibition space. Turkish machinery companies are expected to draw more attention in the exhibition this year. Turkish Machinery will work for presentation of machinery of Turkish companies by giving “Turkish Machinery” advertisements.
At Turkish Machinery stand, visitors will also be able to receive detailed information from member associations of the Machine Industry Sector Platform, which are Fluid Power Association (AKDER), Association of Turkish Machine Manufacturers (MİB), The Association of Vehicle and On-Vehicle Equipment and Work Machines (ARÜSDER), and Electric Crane Manufacturers Union (TEVID) about their members and sectors.
The Machinery Exporters Union was established in 2002 and is the only Union that represents machine exporters in Turkey. It has about 8,000 members). The Machinery Promotion Group (MTG) was established in 2007 by the Machinery and Accessories Exporters Union in order to carry out activities to promote machinery sector more efficiently and improve its image at home and abroad, increase export volume of machinery and accessories, branding, R&D, and organize joint promotion activities.
